You seem to really enjoy seeing pictures of my frogs. I snapped a pic of this little guy and he has been calling nonstop. Calling you say? Yes calling!
Male Dart Frogs and other types of frogs will use a call, sounds like a chirp, to attract females during breeding season. They also call to warn other rival males of their presence. These calls can be heard during the evening and at night, and sometimes during daylight at the peak of the breeding season.
Pictured is a Ranitomeya imitator "Varadero" and he has a beautiful sounding call. If you heard you would never know it was coming from a tiny little frog. Talk later my friends!
